response to point, shoot, retouch and label?

"Some think such a law would destroy photographic art; some think it might help reduce anorexia; some say the idea is aimed at the wrong target, given that nearly every advertising photograph is retouched. Others believe such a label might sensitize people to the fakery involved in most of the advertising images with which they're bludgeoned."
what do you think?

I think that when people or when women look at this  of women they know that they have been retouched. Cause if you look closely no one looks as good as a picture does after it has been photoshopped. Putting that the picture has been retouched would do some good i guess because then the people would actually know and could be sure that the picture was retouched. This always proves to people that know is perfect, it is the computers and technology that make the people look so perfect. Women will believe what they want to though when it comes to the beauty, they know probably that the pictures have been tampered with but still want to force themselves to look advertisements.
Who is the author of a photo?
I think that author of the photo is the photographer because just like a author the photograph puts it on the table and then you have other people correct and fix it up. For the author he/she come up with the idea and writes his/her story. Sends it in and has an editor edit it and then the goes to the publisher, then it is published. The photographer is the same thing. He/She comes up with the idea of what they want to take a picture of. Gets a model and then puts it on the table. The picture gets edited and retouched up, then it is out in the public.
